Bunya Community Family Day
What you’ll experience
-
✺
Intergenerational learning and intersectional connection. Bunya is a neuro-affirming community and a safe space for black, queer, and disabled culture.
-
✺
Here we learn through an Indigenous lens using the Eight Ways pedagogy, always centering First Nations perspectives and prioritising lessons on kindness, gratitude, and curiosity.
-
✺
Any events you attend will be holistically designed and we are improving our accessibility every day, by consulting with our community about your needs and making use of technologies so all learning styles can be accomodated.
-
✺
We run a bush school but we connect folks from all over using online platforms that allow the learning to be immersed into your daily life between live events. We are fostering life long learning and curiosity and encourage active parent participation.
-
✺
These events and resources are a beautiful step towards tackling the unsettled feeling we all have about the state of the world our children will inherit.
-
✺
They will do so with an abundance of RESILIENCE, LOVE, GRATITUDE and GROUNDEDNESS.

Do this mindfulness exercise any time you feel overwhelmed by constant thoughts or rumination. This is really beautiful for us neurodivergent folk who find the are scripting constantly and need a breather. We don’t fight the thoughts or our beautiful neurobiology but we acknowledge and accept them and then let them float gently away for now.
